All About Us

We take pride in offering exceptional early childhood education experience, providing a nurturing and environment.

A Personal Mission Turned Business

Salt & Light Childcare was born from my experience as a mother seeking safe, loving care, and I turned that pain into a purpose-driven center for families like mine.

Faith-Based and Family-Focused:

As a faith-filled woman and entrepreneur, I created this space to nurture children’s growth while supporting parents with care they can trust.

Homemade Meals & Holistic Readiness

We serve homemade, never processed meals and focus on building leaders by teaching critical thinking, confidence, and life readiness.

More Than a Business—A Calling

Owning this daycare is more than a job—it’s my calling. I pour my heart into building a community where children feel safe, valued, and empowered, and where families know they’re supported every step of the way.

Your Questions Answered!

Whether you're a prospective parent or a current member of our community, this section aims to address inquiries and offer insights.

1. How do you help children feel emotionally safe, confident, and seen every day?

At our center, every child is known, valued, and celebrated. We create an environment where children are not just cared for, but truly understood. Through warm, nurturing relationships with consistent caregivers, we build trust and connection. We validate emotions, encourage expression, and celebrate each child’s unique personality. Whether it’s a quiet moment of reassurance or cheering them on as they try something new, we make sure every child feels safe to be themselves and confident in who they are becoming.

2. How do you handle discipline or challenging behaviors in the classroom?

We view behavior as communication, not defiance. Our approach is rooted in positive guidance, redirection, and developmentally appropriate expectations. We teach emotional regulation, problem-solving, and empathy—helping children learn why something isn’t okay, not just that it isn’t. Our team models respect, uses calm, firm boundaries, and works closely with families to support each child’s individual needs. We don’t just manage behavior—we build character and emotional intelligence.

3. What does a “typical day” look like for a child at your center?

A typical day is anything but average—it’s full of discovery, structure, and joy. Children begin with a warm welcome and ease into their day with intentional routines. From engaging circle times and hands-on learning to nutritious, homemade meals and creative play, each part of the day is designed to nourish the whole child. There’s plenty of time for movement, outdoor exploration, rest, and relationship-building. It’s a rhythm that blends safety and structure with fun, faith, and freedom to explore.

4. How do you incorporate faith, leadership, and life-readiness into early childhood development?

Faith is the foundation of everything we do. We teach children to love God, love others, and love themselves through daily examples, intentional curriculum, and consistent modeling. Leadership is nurtured through opportunities for responsibility, kindness, and critical thinking—even at a young age. Life-readiness means equipping children with practical skills: confidence in communication, empathy in relationships, and independence in their growth. We’re not just preparing children for school—we’re preparing them for life.

5. What kind of relationship do you aim to have with parents and families?

We believe in true partnership. You’re not just enrolling your child—you’re becoming part of a family. We value open communication, mutual respect, and ongoing collaboration. Whether it’s through daily updates, family events, or prayerful support, we walk alongside you with intention and care. Our goal is to create a village around your child—a community where parents feel seen, supported, and uplifted every step of the way.
